About Ben Goelz

Ben Goelz is a Brooklyn-based cinematographer. A California Bay Area native, Ben studied film at New York University where he fell in love with the city’s vital filmmaking community. His work ranges from narratives to commercials and music videos, and has been featured at a number of festivals including the TriBeCa, Nantucket, Sarasota, and Hollyshorts. In May 2025 a recent narrative release, Little Orange Flags, played at the American Pavilion at Cannes, this marking the second time his work has been featured in the shorts competition there. In 2026 he was awarded for his work on "Morning Vigil" with the Best Cinematography honor at the French Duck Film festival.
